Click show on disk, Just copy the name (129367452382.jpg) of your dummy screenshot and delete the dummy SS than paste the name to the actual image you want to use and dump it in the game screenshot folder.

why do you have to open it in ms paint and do all that convoluted mess? Cant you just copy custom image into the same folder where dummy screenshot is and rename it to the exact same name as the dummy?

An easier way to do this is to copy the screenshots to the corresponding folder and then delete the "screenshots.vdf" file in ""Steam\userdata\56666288\760\". After that restart steam. It will generate a new screenshots.vdf file and update all screenshots.

i was so shocked that it's so hard to upload a custom screenshot, why is copy paste not possible? There's so much things i don't understand about this universe, so overly complicated they make stuff for no good reason.

Under step 7 you mention a virtual audio cable that we installed. Where is that part? I don't see any mention of a virtual audio cable until that point...

The tutorial was great the problem I am having is that I still cant get the USB mic to work with my Xbox when its plugged into the pc. I am able to get all the audio and talk on discord and everything no problem its when I want have a game chat or a party chat that it wont recognize it. Any help would be amazing. BTW I have the El Gato HD60x capture card and the turtle beach stealth 700 GEN2 USB headset. can you please help.

Do you maybe know of a way to upload custom screenshots for a game you don't own in Steam? I have Cyberpunk 2077 from GOG, got lots of screenshots. But I can't upload it to Steam cuz I basically don't own the game there. Got any idea what to do?

Another quick way is to just rename the desired image to the same name as a dummy screenshot and overwrite it. You don't have to open ms paint at all ;)

This worked perfect, remember friends, the key is to open the file in Paint on Windows 7 or higher - i use Windows 11, and Paste in, so that's Ctrl + V on top of the current image, and save it and then exit paint. Set!

And I just learned after many years of using VM Banana that, if you right-click on any of the hardware input level meters, it will open a tiny dialogue where you can enter a limiter value. A value of -3 is good for keeping loud sounds from distorting your output.
